Hugh Hefner’s Wife Crystal Shares Private DM to Jessica Biel, Urges Her Not to Play ‘Playboy’ Founder’s Wife in New Movie

Hugh Hefner‘s ex wife Crystal Hefner has shared her public DM to Jessica Biel.
If you don’t know, earlier this week, it was announced that Jessica had joined the cast of the new movie Playmates, inspired by writer/director Lorraine Nicholson‘s own experiences at the Playboy mansion during her childhood. Jessica will be playing a wife of Playboy founder.
Crystal was married to Hugh, the Playboy founder, from 2012 until his death in 2017. If you didn’t know, Hugh was married three times throughout his life. He was married to Millie Williams from 1949 to 1959, to Kimberley Conrad from 1989 to 2010, and then to Crystal.
Crystal Hefner asked Jessica Biel to reconsider her role in the movie due to abuse and exploitation allegations
Crystal privately DM’d Jessica, and then shared that Instagram message on her grid, tagging the actress.
She wrote, “Please reconsider playing Hugh Hefner’s “wife” if this film intends to romanticize him or the Playboy world. I was actually his wife, and I experienced sexual, emotional, financial and physical abuse in that relationship. Many other women have come forward with allegations of rape, coercion, drugging and exploitation as well. There are also deeply troubling concerns involving minors. I hope everyone involved in this film takes the time to listen to the women who lived it before helping Hollywood turn it back into nostalgia.”

Who else is starring in Playmates?
As previously announced, Bill Pullman is set to play Hugh Hefner in the upcoming movie. Also in the cast are Lily-Rose Depp and Indiana Elle.
According to Deadline, the upcoming movie is an “L.A.-set coming-of-age story following 13-year-old know-it-all Elle (Indiana Elle), who considers the Playboy Mansion her second home. During her time at the Mansion, Elle meets Anna (Depp), one of seven hopefuls vying to be Playmate of the Month. The two form an unlikely friendship and try to help each other get what the other wants most, a magazine cover and a boy.”
If you don’t know, Crystal has now remarried.
