Hudson Williams is writing his own movie!
The 25-year-old Heated Rivalry actor revealed the news in a new interview while promoting his upcoming new show Yaga.
Hudson is no stranger to writing, as he has written a few short films before his rise to stardom, but this would mark his first feature film screenwriting credit.
While teasing the project, the actor shared that he was “getting tripped up” over a character that has a similarity to Heated Rivalry.

Hudson Williams talks new movie he’s writing
While speaking about how Carrie-Anne Moss‘ character mentions John Wick, which stars her Matrix co-star Keanu Reeves, she said to Entertainment Weekly, “My intuition in the first moment was, ‘That’s my friend’s movie and that’s not my movie,’ but then I understood it from the world of play versus Carrie-Anne and her friend.”
Hudson then chimed in with a similar feeling.
“I’m writing a movie right now, but one character is an ex-hockey player. We were like, ‘But if we have this hockey player and then you’ve done a hockey show…’” Hudson shared. “We’re getting tripped up on it and we’re considering other sports, but for some reason this character just made way more sense being an ex-hockey player. It’s almost like you have to bust through the prison of your own mind or construct of your own mind.”
EW notes that Hudson was asked to elaborate on the project he’s working on, but his team “kindly shot down the question.”
In addition to Yaga, which premieres this week, Hudson will also be appearing in the upcoming Netflix series The Altruists, among other projects, including two movies – Apparatus and Tyrant.
He’s also currently in production on the highly-anticipated second season of Heated Rivalry!
